It was really bowlful when they came to our table. You can see how milky it is. Milk lovers, you guys must add this into your must eat list. The thick taste of milk with different types of fruits made these "drinks" so delicious, not forgetting its freshly and equally sweet fruits.

[The Friend's Affection ~ <3]

Being invited by our friend, which is the Divine Travel group to have trip to Sungkai with them, why not we bring them on our trip to eat as well? Well, in the morning we went to Sungkai for some fun of course, and after the fun and eggs we had there, we decided to munch into something serious.
The front view of  "Pun Chun" Chicken Biscuts& Restaurant.

A 15 minutes drive from sungkai led us to Bidor, a small town where good food can be found. Upon reaching the destination, the aroma coming out from the shop made us even hungry. Letting our nose lead the way, we found a place to fit all of us in. Without wasting any time, we had our order done and was walking around as the aroma of the food really "aroused" us.

Moon cakes available for sale.

Many Chinese delicacies available for sale.

Food can be seen everywhere in the shop, including the various types of mooncakes as the Moon Cake Festival is approaching. White lotus mooncake, single yolk lotus mooncake and double yolk lotus mooncake are the few types of mooncakes available in the shop itself. Chinese delicacies can also be found everywhere in the shop; such as the "shak kek ma", chicken biscuit, coconutsweets and much more. Delight and indulge in these delicacies found in this shop as the original and unique taste of these delicacies remain the same although years have passed.

The delicious chinese snack---"Shak Kek Ma"

It was quite crowded at that time and we decided to approach the owner of the shop there. Going on by the name "Pun Chun", which is the combination of the name of bothe the husband and wife, the shop has been operating around 73 years!! besides that, everyone working in the shop is related. Whether they are siblings or cousins, their unity made the business grew.

We made it just in time to sit down and enjoy our meal. Our stomachs growled even harder upon seeing the famous "Duck drumstick noodles". Trying to stuff all the food into our stomachs was a mission impossible although we are starving as besides the big portion of the food, the distinctive taste of the herbal soup where the duck drumstick was immersed in forced us to slowly lick into the taste of the dish. The noodles were exceptional too, handmade. Served either dry or with soup, this food is a MUST in Bidor. Look at our war with the food.

Duck drumstick noodles
RM7.00

Address: Restorant Pun Chun,38-40,Jalan Besar, 35500 Bidor, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia.
Operationg hours : early morning to 10pm, Daily
Telephone: 05-4341554

Although feeling satisfied with the meal, everyone couldn't resist from grabbing the munchies sold there, have a look at the bundle we had bought :D

Satisfied with out visit to "Pun Chun", we were still ready to move on. Still itching for more, we decided to try something cool n chillin'. We drove around 5 minutes and reached our destination. The shop might not be appealing to most, but upon stepping into the shop, the various types of ice sold there would catch anyone's attention.

It took us some time in deciding which to buy as we are still full with the meal 5 minutes ago. Finally we decided to buy 3 different types to share out amongst ourselves. The local "Ice Kacang", the unique "Melon Ice" and also the savoury looking "Men Tou Ice"

Waiting impatiently, we decided to have a look at the process. Should have looked at our "O"-shaped mouth while we were watching the process. Let's have a peek at the process.

At last, our dessert for the day is done. 3 big bowls sitting in front of us. Spoonfuls went into our mouths without stopping once we started. It was really NUTS munching into the "Ice Kacang", along with the thick and sweet "Melon Ice" with balls of fruits and not forgetting the appetizing "Men Tou Ice" which is sour with a little pinch of sweetness along with it.

Stuffed would be the word to describe our situation. This trip with the Travel Divine group was EXTREME and I bet all of us enjoyed it to the MAX. Another big thank you to the Travel Divine group (http://trav3ldivin3.blogspot.com/)

I can see u guys have added more pictures after i gave my suggestion. its good to see you guys keep on improving! :)

Bella said...

Hello for foodhunters, first time view your blog. But after finish view up 3 post, there are something need to make an adjustment.
1)The colour font very hard to read,i suggest use solid colour will be more attractive.
2)The font are kinda small,if possible make it much more bigger, because readers like to read something big instate of small.
3)Is better to use formal english than those rojak language. Because it can show more professional.
4)The picture is not bad,try to make it more attractive like darken the colour balance or make it more sharp.

Of cause you guys have done the good part for the arrangement of the paragraph. and the special part which is wishes the public selamat hari raya..hope your guys have improvement on the following post. From Bella
